Introduction
This SQA approved 3-day course complies with the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
Candidates are trained to a standard where they can administer basic First Aid in the workplace until more qualified help arrives.
On successful completion of the course and final assessment, the delegate will receive the SQA approved, nationally recognised First Aid at Work Certificate. This is valid for 3 years, however the SQA recommends that first aiders undertake annual first aid update training.
All delegates receive a course pack including a first aid manual.
**If you require First Aid for Forestry please advise at time of booking**
This course is a very practical course so you must be able to get up and down from the floor. Learners are expected to perform CPR on a manikin on the floor for a minimum of 2 minutes. Due to the nature of regulated first aid assessment, there will be a requirement to work in very close proximity with others.
