THE PRINCE'S TRUST TEAM PROGRAMME
Introduction
The programme will allow participants to improve self-reliance and self-esteem setting targets for the development of interpersonal skills while working in a group to plan and carry out a project. The vocational project will be related to the world of work and gives participants the skills on exit to progress to employment or training.
The Princes' Trust team helps young people to rebuild their self-esteem. The team is a 12-week programme of personal development and training. It aims to re-engage young people, helping them to think about their future and prepare a post-programme development plan.

Entry Requirements
Are you 16-29, seeking direction and ideas for your future, we have something to get you going. The programme is designed specifically for those who are either unemployed, have found education difficult, have had youth justice or criminal justice involvement, are unsure which direction they want to follow or those in care or leaving care.

Course Content
SQA Units in Personal Awareness, Practical Abilities, Self and Work, Influences on Mental Health and Wellbeing, Coping Strategies and Building Resilience, Communications, Dealing with Work Situations, Preparing for Employment, Building Own Employability Skills, Responsibilities of Employment, Nutrition, Health and Wellbeing, Intro to Internet and Online Communications and an Introduction to Food Hygiene.
Learners will be supported by staff throughout the programme and individual action plans will be created.
Learners will also take part in online challenges and tasks to build their team working skills, communication with others and confidence.
Assessments
Progression
Students could progress on to one of the college's wide range of programmes across all subject areas. Staff will work with individual learners to create an individual action plan and assist learners to apply for college, further training, volunteering or employment.
Completion of the programme will provide participants with the skills and opportunities in preparation for employment, training and education.
