Modern Apprenticeships are a great way of gaining skills, qualifications and experience and starting a career without having to study full-time. You will be earning whilst you are learning! Business and Administration skills are essential to the effective and efficient performance of organisations across all sectors and once you have completed your Modern Apprenticeship you will have shown that you have the ability, the work skills and the determination to succeed.

Entry Requirements
You should have previously completed Business Administration at SCQF Leve 5, or have relevant experience within this sector.
You must be in full-time employment and aged 16 years or over.
Candidates should be well presented, committed to the Modern Apprenticeship and able to complete.
Course Content
This Modern Apprenticeship is achieved by an SVQ 3 in Business and Administration and Core Skills at a required level.
More specific learning will be carried out which will include: How to Manage and Improve your own Performance in a Business Environment; Communication in a Business Environment and Review and Maintain work in a Business Environment.
You will also be able to consider units to undertake under the guidance of your assessor which suit your needs best.
Assessments
Assessors attend your work place on a regular basis; the length of each visit will vary depending on which assessment is being done.
Assessors will assess your competency and will give advise and guidance on any work that may be required.
Assessments take the form of written (using an on-line portfolio) and practical assessments. Written assessments are carried out by the candidate in their own time under the guidance of their assessor.

This Modern Apprenticeship is funded through Skills Development Scotland.
