Entry Requirements
Two National 4 qualifications at grade C or above preferably English; OR
NQ/NC qualification at SCQF level 4 in Beauty Care; OR NPA Cosmetology; OR
other equivalent qualifications or experience.
You are required to be 16 years of age to undertake this course.

Once we have received your application you will be asked to attend an informal information and interview session.
Learners will be required to attend a face-to-face interview or an interview on Teams video to further discuss your application.You’ll be invited for a group and/or individual interview where you can find out more about the course and tell us why you’re interested in this subject area.

During the information and interview session, we will ensure the entry requirements, and your aspirations and career plan are appropriate for the course and the level of course you have applied for. It is therefore important that you prepare well for this.

Manicure and Pedicure:

Face and Body Electrotherapy (Introduction): Explore advanced technologies like infrared, vacuum suction, and rotary brushes to enhance facial and body treatments. These techniques help address client concerns such as skin texture, hydration, and circulation.
Artificial Nails with BIAB:
Master the application of Builder in a Bottle (BIAB), a revolutionary product taking the beauty industry by storm. This advanced technique allows you to create durable, natural-looking nail enhancements, including overlays and sculpting, while meeting the latest industry standards. You will also gain expertise in tip application, ensuring a flawless finish for clients. Waxing Treatments:

Assessments
The course utilises a variety of assessment methods, including practical observation, case study compilation, research projects and closed book theory papers. Assessments are ongoing and cover both theory and practical elements of the course.
This is a full-time course with additional home study.
