Practitioner Certificate in Modelling Business Processes Syllabus
Immerse yourself into the world of process modelling over two days, and learn how to investigate, model, analyse and create or improve business processes in an organisation.
You will also learn the context behind process modelling, giving you an understanding of how to use it and review the different levels of process modelling.
This is a weekend training course, which runs on Saturday, Sunday, and then the following Saturday.
There is a written examination for this course, which can be booked via Pearson VUE directly. Fees are paid directly to Pearson VUE for the written exams and BCS directly. Please note the exams are not included with this training.
Learning Outcomes
- Understand the role of business process modelling in describing how an organisation carries out its internal processes, the hierarchy of process models and techniques to describe them, and why this is a key skill of the business analyst in supporting change.
- Be able to model core business processes at an organisational level.
- Understand how to model business processes at the process level, showing all the elements involved from triggering events to process endpoints.
- Learn how to document and analyse tasks.
- Use gap analysis to improve business processes.
The Practitioner Certificate in Modelling Business Processes will help you understand and apply practical business analysis techniques. Learn to investigate and improve your business processes or look at ways to create new ones based on business needs to support alternative solutions in the organisation.
In this course, you will learn the different levels and types of modelling that a Business Analyst uses, from organisational to more detailed models.
This course fulfils the practitioner-based requirement and is one of the four modules you will need to complete to obtain the International Diploma in Business Analysis, along with the core modules of the Practitioner Certificate in Business Analysis Practice and Practitioner Certificate in Requirement Engineering. Then finally either the Foundation Certificate in Business Analysis or the Foundation Certificate in Organisational Behaviour.
