Introduction
Dumfries & Galloway College has partnered with the University of West of Scotland (UWS) to offer you the third year of the Business BA programme.
In year one you will complete Business HNC, year two Business HND, and in year three in partnership with UWS. This degree will equip you with the skills and attitude to meet the challenges of a stimulating career in business.
Whether you are interested in enterprise and entrepreneurship, marketing or human resources, this degree provides the opportunity to learn many important business disciplines.

Entry Requirements
Entry for years one and two please see HNC/HND Business.
Entry for year 3, an HND Business or related subject.
We welcome all Scottish, UK and International students and consider all applicants on an individual basis.
For applicants whose first language is not English, the University sets a minimum English Language Proficiency level.
Information and Interview Session Requirements
Interviews for Years 1 & 2 will take place through the College, interview for 3rd year will take place in alignment with the university application procedure.
Course Content
Key elements of the course include learning from widely recognised local, national and international organisations via case studies, and authentic real-world based assessments. During your time at UWS, you will also have the opportunity to attend events, presentations and talks hosted by employers at UWS.
Assessments
The overall assessment strategy ensures that a coherent balance of assessment is in place and that assessment supports employability and other complex learning intentions. In real terms this means you will study a mixture of assessment formats such as presentations, essays, management reports, feasibility plans and business plans.
Progression
You can continue with your degree to honours level with UWS which may be possible at the Dumfries campus (subject to numbers).
Career Prospects
The degree will assist entry onto graduate management programmes helping you to prepare for a career in public, private and voluntary organisations in the UK and internationally. Many of our graduates embarked on careers in consultancy, marketing, retail and human resources management.
