Course Content

Throughout this course, you will deepen your understanding of professional cookery, focusing on key skills essential for success in a culinary environment. You will learn how to prepare, cook, and present a diverse range of dishes, emphasising both creativity and technical precision.

As you progress, you will build and refine a variety of cookery techniques, from foundational methods to advanced culinary practices, equipping you with the expertise needed to excel in any kitchen setting.

Assessments

The course will include both written assessments and practical evaluations to measure your progress and understanding of key concepts.

  • Written Assessments: These will test your knowledge of culinary theory, safe working practices, and your ability to plan and adapt dishes.
  • Practical Assessments: You will be assessed on your ability to prepare, cook, and present dishes to a professional standard, demonstrating mastery of techniques, creativity, and attention to detail.

Both types of assessment are designed to ensure you develop a well-rounded skill set in professional cookery.
