Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements but an interest in the industry would be favoured.
An interest in Hairdressing and Beauty.
An ability to study at SCQF level 4.

There are no requirements for an interview for this course, but you should have a basic knowledge and an interest in the industry with a view to potentially looking to have a career within it if you would like to join this course.

Assessments
The course is a blend of both theory and practical subjects. Practical and written assessments will be ongoing throughout the year.
Assessment guidance includes a variety of conditions including open-book, folio, practical activities.
This is a full-time course with additional home study.
Progression
Upon completion of the programme, you can progress to a range of full-time and part-time hairdressing and beauty courses at Dumfries & Galloway College.
Please be aware that all our full time Hair and Beauty Courses require students to be 16 at the start of the course. If you are looking to progress onto a full time course after College Academy, you should be 15 by the August start date for 25/26 session.
