Introduction
This course will help you to gain employment in restaurants, hotels, and conference centres. If you are interested in a career in hospitality, then this course is the one for you.
This course covers all aspects of working in the hospitality industry.
You will learn about all the different places you can work (from hotels to cruise ships), looking at the different job roles in hospitality and how your career can progress.
You will look at a specific hospitality business in detail.

Entry Requirements
An interest in hospitality/ Barista would be an obvious benefit to the learner.
An ability to study at SCQF level 4.
Information and Interview Session Requirements
There are no requirements for an interview for this course, but you should have a basic knowledge and an interest in the industry with a view to potentially looking to have a career within it if you would like to join this course.

Assessment will be a mixture of practical observations, and written assignments
Progression
Upon completion of the programme, you can progress to a range of full-time and part-time professional cookery and hospitality courses at Dumfries & Galloway College.
Career Prospects
You could progress into Hospitality at SCQF levels 5/6 and/or seek employment in the industry.
